Precious Felder Gates, Attorney and Managing Owner
The Founder and Managing Owner of The Law Offices of Precious Felder, LLC is an Atlanta native who founded Precious Felder, LLC to provide effective, high-quality legal counsel that would achieve the unique objectives of each individual type of client. Clients often want close contact with their lawyer. Precious prides herself on being an attentive listener and providing consistent communication to her clients. She works closely with her clients in developing practical solutions to ensure the best possible outcome for their case.
Precious received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgia State University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. After working for a small boutique civil litigation firm, Precious started The Law Offices of Precious Felder, LLC immediately out of law school. She has represented a variety of clients in the areas of family law, entertainment, criminal defense and personal injury. She is an experienced litigator and in 2015, established her first multimillion-dollar jury verdict. Her practice has achieved six-figure Personal Injury settlements. She has established numerous dismissals, acquittals and favorable outcomes for her clients accused of criminal offenses, both misdemeanors and felonies. Precious is passionate for her family law clients and heavily experienced in divorce, custody and child support actions. For her entertainment clients, she has negotiated six-figure deals in both music and TV/film. She provides aggressive, zealous advocacy to obtain her client’s full satisfaction.
Precious is a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association, the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and the Gate City Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before the Georgia state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
In her free time, she enjoys live music, having been a member of the orchestra in college playing the bassoon. She is the mother of two beautiful girls and devotes her life to her family. Precious prides herself on being personable and relatable to all of her clients.
Pat’Rena Smith, Legal Assistant
Pat’Rena Smith was born and raised in upstate New York and moved to Atlanta, Georgia after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from The College at Brockport State University of New York. There she majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Pre-Law. During her educational journey Pat’Rena was voted Vice-President and later became President of the Criminal Justice Club where she constructed several Mock Jury Trials and Crime Scenes. Pat’Rena gained her first career experiences with internship opportunities where she learned from the Law Office of Craig D. Carson and Monroe County’s Hall of Justice Center of Youth Teen Court which lead to success in her career choice.
During her tenure in Georgia, Pat’Rena has work in many areas of law such as family law, criminal defense law, traffic law, litigations, small claims, evictions, and some contract law. Pat’Rena has worked in the legal field for over four years as a legal assistant, lead paralegal, and office manager. As a little girl, Pat’Rena has always found excitement in helping others and always dreamed of practicing law. Pat’Rena is extremally satisfied in her career field and hopes to become a criminal defense, family law, and personal injury attorney; or possibly an entrepreneur.
In her free time, Pat’Rena loves to spend time with her family and the people closest to her. She is very outgoing, opened minded, always smiling, and has a strong interest in new adventures.
